1. A narrative is a story told by one person throughout the book and does not switch to another person's view. A mystery is told by many different points of view.
2. The title usually contains something that happens in the story. For this book I think it will be a mystery about people who keep disappearing.
I have a feeling that Vera Claythorne is going to turn out as a ravenous killer. I think so because her old lover Hugo suspected her as a murderer. She also just seems like the type to go on a killing rampage. A "sweet little kids teacher" will turn out to be a murderer, I think.

Foreshadowing-
1. "He's nearer the day of judgment than I am!" But there, as it happens, he was wrong...
2. "There is a squall coming, I can smell it."
3. She remembered last year's summer holiday. This year it would be quite different. Indian Island...
4. He fancied that he was going to enjoy himself at Indian Island.
The first example is a clear foreshadowing. It is because this man is thinking to himself that an old man is nearer to death then himself. It then goes on to say that the man was wrong, inferring that the man who made the comment was going to die soon. That is a foreshadowing because it indirectly tells the reader something that will happen later in the story. The second is also a foreshadowing because the old man is saying that a storm is coming. That could mean an actual storm or something he knows will happen to the other man. Again, that is telling the reader something that will happen later in the book. The 3rd example would be considered a foreshadowing because it is telling the reader that something is going to happen during the person's vacation on Indian Island. The last example is inferring to the reader that this man knows that something is going to happen later in the book on Indian Island. It could be good or bad, but either way the man knows what it is and likes it. He could be a killer, or he could just be referring to enjoying his summer vacation. A foreshadowing infers to the reader that something is going to happen in the book later on. All of these examples are foreshadowing something. Joe-

Was hired by Mr. Owens to come and watch all of his guests. He was given a list of all the names and was told to keep an eye on Mrs. Owens jewels. Dr. Armstrong:
Was called to the Island professionally by Owens. A colleague of Armstrong's was mentioned.
Anthony Marston:

Setting-Indian Island, summer, late 1930's
Chapter 1.
Everyone got word to come to Indian Island.
All are traveling to Devon.
Chapter 2.
'The taxis drove off.'
'The boat churned its way around the rock. Now at last, the house came into view.'
Chapter 3.
'Dinner was drawing to a close.'
'Into that silence came The Voice. Without warning, inhuman, penetrating...' the voice listed the guests names and people whose deaths they were responsible for.
Chapter 4
. All the people talk about the people whose death they had caused.
'He picked up his drink and drank it off with a gulp. Too quickly perhaps. he choked and choked badly. his face contorted and turned purple.' - Anthony Marston was the first to die.
Chapter 5.
"No, a man doesn't die of a mere choking fit. Marston's death wasn't what we call a natural death."
'Downstairs in the dining room, Rogers stood puzzled. He was staring at the little china figures in the center of the table. He muttered to himself: "That's a rum, I could have sworn there were ten of them."'
Chapter 6.
' "It is the wife doctor, she won't wake up. My God! I can't get her to wake and she don't look right to me" '
' " there's only eight sir! Only eight!it doesn't make sense sir. Only eight..-two out of ten people had died and the bowl that once held ten china figures now only had eight.
Chapter 7.
'no motor boat today' -the boat that would take them to the mainland never came...they were trapped
'the three of us can attend to this job...' they were going to search the island for U.N. Owen
Chapter 8.
the three men started off on their tour of the island' - blore, armstrong and lombard went to search the island for another person who might be owen and is in hiding.
'there was no one on the island but their eight selves' -they found no one and that meant the killer was one of them.
Chapter 9
Blore accuses armstrong of being the killer, because he gave mrs. rogers "medicine" the night she died.
MacArthur is killed.
They decide that Mr. Owen is one of them
Chapter 10
Vera thinks that Armstrong is the killer and Lombard thinks its Wargrave
Rogers locks up the Indians so no one can take them out.
Chapter 11
lombard and blore realize that they didn't get tea or woken by rogers.
They all find Rogers in the wood shed with a huge laceration in his head...he is dead
Chapter 12
wargrave suggests they meet in the drawing room to discuss...they all start doing jobs, but miss brent-she is calmly sitting in a chair alone in a room.
later they were in the room waiting for brent. she doesn't come so they go to the room and find her dead and see a bee on the window.
they all think it was armstrong because he brought a syringe to the island and it is no lnger in his suitcase
Chapter 13
vera went to her room and felt a piece of seaweed on her neck and thought it was a hand, she screamed
blore, armstrong and lombard go up to the room they figure out wargrave isn't there and go back to where they were to before and find him shot, dressed like a judge
Chapter 14
blore heard footsteps outside of his room and went to find armstrong going outside
he follows and can't find him outside
he gets lombard and tells vera to wait in room and they search for armstrong but can't find him.
Armstrong disappeared
Chapter 15
vera, philip and blore go up to a hill so noone can sneak up on them
blore went back to the house to get food, they find him later with his head crushed by a marble figure of a bear
vera and lombard find armstrongs body in the water, they drag it ashore
Chapter 16
vera grabs lombards gun and shoots lombard
she goes back to her room in the house and finds a noose hanging from the wall with a chair under it
she steps up, fastened the noose around her neck, and kicked out the chair
she is dead
